Burger King’s Halloween Whopper

October 6, 2015 by Danny O'Leary Leave a Comment

Having made it’s debut in Japan and now making it’s way to the UK and the US, Burger King’s famous “Black Burger” is causing quite the stir among local residents and other curious folks nation wide. When created in Japan, this burger was made using black pepper to darken the buns and bamboo charcoal and squid ink to darken the cheese. The UK’s version will be made differently, using a natural colorant to darken the buns with BBQ sauce baked into them as well, a flame-grilled beef patty, topped with American cheese , ripe tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions. The US version will be made the same except they will be using A1 sauce. Burger King has announced that the reason behind their spooky experiment was due to many requests from customers and is claiming many are excited for this dark creation. Some may be excited, but others are still critical, and are wondering what the side effects may be after one eats this “special” black-bunned burger.

Even if many may be critical of this very odd burger meal you have to admit, Burger King is quite the trend setter. They know how to spark the curiosity of many and how to keep their name in the burger news headlines and hey…..at least it doesn’t contain pumpkin spice, am I right? There will be many spooky things to look forward to this Halloween and you better believe that this Black Burger will be one of the spookiest. If you’re someone who considers yourself brave then by all means, go ahead and try this burger while you can because it will only be available until October 31st. Happy Halloween!
