Our favorite comedic 90’s duo is back, and rumors of a sequel to our favorite 90’s movie,”Good Burger“, are surfacing after one of the stars of the movie, Kel Mitchell, sat down for an interview with Us Weekly. When asked on whether or not there was a chance of a sequel being made, Kel responded with “Yeah, there’s a possibility. It’s just a thought. But there’s definitely a possibility of something. So you just got to keep watching!” Kel, now 37, is one of the stars of Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers and is very happy to still be apart of the Nickelodeon family. “Nickelodeon is really great at what they do. They really listen to the kids and it’s a really great network. I’m just happy to be a part of it. I’m all about good family entertainment that’s fun”, says Mitchell. Kenan Thompson, Kel’s co-star and long time comedic partner, paired up with Mitchell for a Good Burger sketch on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Back in 1997, Kenan and Kel both originated a sketch on Nickelodeon’s All That that quickly became very popular and soon turned into the starting ground for the Good Burger movie itself. Since then, Kenan and Kel still appreciate all of what the movie has done for them and it stills remains a favorite among many fans. Nowadays Kenan is still acting, doing comedy sketches for Saturday Night Live, and is the host for TeenNick’s 1990’s programming block, “The 90’s Are All That.” Meanwhile, Kel has stated that he can’t even go through drive-throughs because if he tries to order water or a milkshake, people will tell him “No! You’re supposed to be drinking orange soda!” So as you can see, if you’re a true 90’s kid then you should know that we just can’t let go of our favorite duo and no matter how many years go by, Kenan and Kel will still be the comedic legends that made us laugh throughout our entire childhood.
As for the news about a Good Burger sequel, you will just have to continue to be patient and keep checking up on what the two are up to! Even though the two may be a bit busy at the moment with both their acting careers and personal lives, all we can do is have hope for the future that two of the greatest 90’s stars can bring back the love and joy we felt seeing them hilariously annoy each other while also teaming up to fight for the future of their fast-food burger joint.
