An Alabama boy spontaneously dished out a burger blessing to a man in need at a Waffle House in the Montgomery area Josiah Duncan, who is 5, kept asking his mom Ava Faulk questions about a man slumped over all alone at the diner in the town of Prattville. Faulk had explained to her curious child that the man probably didn’t have a home and she said her son was troubled by the sight of the man sitting at a table ignored and hungry. Duncan then made clear that he would like to help the troubled man who had no food. Young Duncan asked his mother if she could purchase the man a burger for him to eat, and Duncans mother agreed. A cheeseburger with Bacon arrived at the homeless mans table, but Duncan went one deeper and even put a small blessing on the homeless mans burger.
“God our father,
we thank you,
we thank you,
for our many blessings,
amen”
The charitable deed moved everyone who witnessed it, his mom says. the homeless man cried, along with the other 11 people who were at the Waffle House. Duncans mother contacted the local news station to alert inform them of the story her son Duncan had done. “Watching my son touch the 11 people in that Waffle House tonight will be forever one of the greatest accomplishments as a parent I’ll ever get to witness.”
