Happy New Year. Last year we set out to find and try the best burgers our area has to offer! And we found some great places! We went to places like Johnny Rockets, the classic 50’s diner! Along with some great Biker bars like Smileys and Charlie Horse! We were lucky to experience the Unique Burgers of The Daytona Taproom! We explored local hotel restaurants such as Adams Egg, and The Oasis Tiki Bar! We jumper into the NASCAR scene and found great burgers at The Brickyard! We even went to the classic raw bar and grill known as Riptides.
We hope to continue this great tradition in 2016, and are very exited to see what we find. Every time we go out in search of a new great burger, comes the excitement of trying something new. No two burgers are ever the same and everyone tries to bring something delicious and unique to the table, and we are never disappointed. All of the local restaurants are staffed with the friendliest people who strive to provide great service.
We think there are a lot of great new years resolutions you can do to accommodate your love of cheeseburgers! Maybe you could make a plan to go out and try a new burger every month. You will get to experience a new place every month along with a different burger every time. And who knows, maybe you will find a new favorite along the way, or discover something you didn’t think you would like. Part of having a new years resolution is to make sure you go out and do something you might not usually do otherwise. You could try to bring your family along, and maybe start some new traditions.
Another good resolution for the people out there who love to cook, could be to make a different burger from scratch every month. There are tons of Burger variations out there, and you could make a different one every week and not run out. This could be great for when you have people over and would like to show off your cooking abilities, and make an awesome meal for everyone at the same time! Plus everyone loves a good home made burger!
Our last resolution for new years is to start something great. Try yourself, be it big or small. Its amazing the effect we can have on others and never really know. I had something personally special happen to me, and I vow to pay it forward. I had an amazing older couple pay for my meal, for no rhyme or reason other than to do good. They did not seek gratitude, nor did they want the attention of doing something nice. They did it because kind gestures like that bring them true happiness. That is the way we should all strive to live our lives. I was amazed when my waitress told me my meal was paid for. I immediately asked who did this for me, but they were gone.. Sometimes all it takes is one person to do something great, and the avalanche will follow behind them. I asked how much my meal was, I then gave a 20$ bill to our waitress and said “Please take this, and pay for the meal of the next people you serve.” I did this in hopes of giving the next guest the same feeling I got, but also to allow them the opportunity to pay it forward as well.
I have not had the chance to return to that restaurant since. Albeit unlikely, but a small part of me still believes that the people served after me were struck with the same sense of kindness in others. And that to this day the customers of that little pizza shop are still paying it forward.
