Warm Buns.
McDonald’s believes the solution to declining sales is with Warmer Buns!
The world’s largest fast-food chain is “recommitting to hotter, tastier food,” said the CEO Steve Easterbrook, who also wants to start a strategic turnaround plan earlier this month. The new McDonald’s standard will be to toast the buns an extra 5 seconds! This results in a 15 degree temperature increase. This new approach will also be applied to its burger patties, changing the way they are seared and grilled to maximize flavor and juices! The company has not released any further in depth details about its new process.
Easterbrook, who took the helm in March after the former CEO stepped down, believes that every little bit counts and sums up “to a big difference for our customers.”
The last time McDonald chains altered its toasting process, it eliminated toasting all together. This was in hopes that the reduced energy would save them money, however the reduced quality brought down sales, and in 1997 it was mandated that every store reinstall bun toasters at a price of $7,000 a location. as provided by: readmorehere
